Lipetz and Beer Named Top Doctors on Long Island

Long Island Spine Rehabilitation Medicine is pleased to announce that founder Jason S. Lipetz, MD and Jeffry R. Beer, MD have been included in Newsday’s annual listing of “Top Doctors on Long Island” in the category of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

Everyone knows how important it is to find the best doctor, no matter what problem you happen to be struggling with, but that becomes even more critical when it comes to back pain and other issues related to your spine. Without a personal referral, it can be difficult to find someone who has the necessary level of skill and amount of experience to merit your trust. That’s what makes designations like Newsday’s Top Doctors so valuable.

How Are Top Doctors Chosen?

No one is permitted to pay for a spot on the Top Doctor list: selection is done by an independent evaluation process. This process starts with an invitation to board-certified doctors, as well as hospital administrators and officials in the area, to nominate those physicians they feel possess the highest qualifications. They are specifically asked to give consideration to only those they would “want a family member to go – not only because of their excellent training and clinical skills but also because of the time, care and concern they give to their patients”.

From this initial list, interviews are done for verification of accuracy, as well as extensive checking of credentials, certifications, research and publications, disciplinary actions and reputation. The result is the selection of highly skilled, experienced and respected physicians for each category.
